(Dunya News) – Pakistan is rich in natural beauty, particularly in the northern areas of the country which is home to some of the most breathtaking landscapes. It is this beauty that an artist from Karachi, Fouzia Khan, has captured in her paintings which are being exhibited in the coastal city.

Translating this natural splendour on canvas through paintings, Khan’s art aims to picture the beauty this land has been gifted with. Khan said she was inspired towards painting by the attractiveness of the natural beauty of the country – all of which, she said, was the work of the greatest painter, God.

Speaking to Dunya News, Khan said when she observes nature she can’t help but appreciate its perfection. “This balance, this beauty is all His work,” said Khan.

For her, the paintings are not just a depiction of the beauty she sees around her but also a means to promote tourism in Pakistan. From beautiful lakes, colourful flowers and greenery to magical mountains and portraits, her paintings portray magnificent images of Pakistan.

The exhibition was inaugurated in a local art gallery in Karachi by the Pakistan Peoples Party’s politician Faryal Talpur. She was accompanies by PPP’s Senator Saeed Ghani and Sindh’s Culture Minister Syed Sardar Shah. During the exhibition, Talpur commended Khan’s art that was focused on capturing natural beauty.
